As an artist, I am more than just a photographer. When I go somewhere to take my pictures, I become one with my muse. As I wandered through a forest, I walked barefoot, and completely forgot about the world outside the trees. Just focusing in on everything around me, looking for my picture perfect scenes. As I stepped over twigs and moss, I kept my head low, looking for the small things that no one notices. And it is amazing, the beauty that can be found. Everywhere you go. So as I walked out of the forest, I had mosquito bites on my legs and cuts on my feet and twigs in my hair. But that is what found me, the most amazing beauty. Later, I stumbled through the city. I put on my heels and put up my hair. I held my camera firmly in my hands, ready for anything or anyone. I walk on the sidewalk, hearing my heels click as I smell the warm smell of coffee and car exhaust. That’s it, I see it. I go down, hold my camera up to my eye, and press the shutter to see an array of pictures ahead of me. I see things move in slow-motion, ready to be photographed. Everywhere, everything and everyone holds unexpected beauty.
