Weekend trip to Mexico City for our 8th anniversary with little planning and low expectations, but we were impressed. The architecture, food and the welcoming people (many people) exceeded expectations. Vanessa, really enjoyed the Metro, but in my opinion it was way too crowded. Actually, the whole city was too crowded. One of the largest population concentrations in the world, you are constantly bumping into people, but their welcomeness makes up for it. We hanged out mainly around El Centro Historico, but we also got to visit the pyramids at Teotihuacan and the neighborhood (town? borough?) of Coyoacán.
