PHOTOGRAPHY AND ARCHITECTURE
I am a german photo artist and architect living in France and practice photography in classic style without camera image processing and without digital manipulation. I paint with the light and colors of nature.
Critical themes, sensual, scenes of life and nature are the subject of my photographs.
I have been practicing photography for 40 years and for 6 years as an art photography for my pleasure.


From 1982 until the end of 2010 I was a freelance architect.
Since 2012, I only develop ecological homes.

PHOTOGRAPHY
For more than 40 years fascinated by photography and the power of pictures, I practice the photography in the classical style.
Inspires by many art books of my father I caught at the age of 10 years in to paint and to sign.
Architecture and art fascinated me and I quickly realized that these media would affect my life.
At the age of 16 years I discovered the images from Doisneau, Brassai, Ronis, Hamilton, Sieff and other famous photographers. I bought a Minox and tried to imitate the photos of this artist. But the results were sobering.
Then I studied the photograph, especially also the black-and-white photograph after Ansel Adam.
I bought a Nikon fa 4 and 1 FM 2, a photo lab and learnt to develop photos, tried out the different films and experimented. Exposure, focal length, point of view, moment, distance, film delicacy, lighting conditions, a variety of factors that make up a picture.
A completely different than the "click-and-ready-world" of amateur photography did to me.
I always had my camera with me. A motive see develop an image in mind, realize the camera and edit in the darkroom.
And more and more I had the good results.
In the beginning of the 2000s disappeared many of the good films of the market. A very big incision in the photography. And at the beginning of the digital photography it seemed that the artistic photography would become possible for everybody. Really the difference became even clearer by the digital photograph between click photos and art photograph.
Since 2004 I take a photo digitally without automatic and without camera image processing with light-strong objectives exclusively in the RAW-format.
I develop the pictures like in analogous times, but now digitally.

ARCHITECTURE

2012 -
Managing director and owner of the company JB MAISON.
Development of ecological residential buildings with autonomous energy and healthy construction as model houses.
1986-2016
Architectural offices in Berlin, Saarbrücken and Dresden.
Projects in Germany and France.
Design and construction of office buildings and commerce, banks and Insurance, commercial buildings, Interior architecture. New construction and renovation, reconstruction.
Design and construction of Housing construction. Individual houses, Grouped housing. New construction and renovation, reconstruction.
Development of residential buildings to standards Houses with passive solar energy including. Reorganization and Energy Rehabilitation of existing individual houses.
Development of residential buildings Ecological and bioclimatic in Wood.
Studies of the consequences of Houses with exterior insulation in colder regions. Numerous expertises and examinations of construction damage in residential buildings hermetic with external insulation and mechanical ventilation.
Specialist in the design of bioclimatic and low consumption single family homes for more than 35 years. The houses are built of wood, but also in ecological masonry well combined with glass and natural stones for a healthy and natural habitat.
All my projects are designed as a low cost construction. Architecture should not be expensive! From wood to concrete, the creativity of architect's homes has no limit and gives birth to exceptional projects, some of which are very affordable.
It was in 1990 that I realized the first wooden house and without conventional heating. Since then, all my houses have been built in this constructive mode.
It was in 2000 when I specialized exclusively in housing and tried to build more and more with natural building materials and energy sources, the job I started in 1982.
As part of the IBA (International Building Exhibition in Berlin) and Dokumenta Kassel, I developed alternative and natural houses.
