Jonas Berggren sees photography as a tool for communication and for asking questions, the way he does to others, but also as directed inwards, to understand himself. Jonas work tends to focus on loneliness and longing, be it the fear of being lonely, or the memories of past loneliness. The longing for someone, or something.
He has worked as a photographer since 1988 when he finished his education at the “Nordic School of Photography (Nordens Fotoskola Biskops Arnö)” and “University College of Arts, Crafts and Design (Konstfack)”.
In addition to his photography he teaches at the Nordic School of Photography (Nordens Fotoskola Biskops Arnö). Many of Sweden’s photographers, have learned digital and creative imaging from Jonas.
