I live close to lake Hjalmaren in the southern part of Sweden. I bought my first camera when I was 12 years old but I worked many years as a teacher before my hobby became my profession. Much of my inspiration comes from following the seasonal changes. This often means spending hours of waiting for the ”light” in early mornings and evenings. I ‘m fascinated by catching the blue light at dusk in wintertime, even when the temperature is 20 degrees below zero. Most of my life I have lived in the countryside and I have nature all around me. I’m a member of an artistic network with annual exhibitions and open ateliers. For my exhibition work, I often find inspiration in the abstract forms of nature. Studying the complexities and subtleties in plants, animals and landscapes shapes a huge part of my work.
